We are the Nueva Feminism Club, and are excited to host the 4th Annual Nueva Feminism Conference in San Mateo on March 2, 2019. The conference is a public event open to people of all ages and genders, and we hope to raise awareness about gender equality and discuss Feminism in the 21st century. Topics addressed this year will include: intersections between Judeo-Christianity and Feminism (Rabbi Lisa Kingston), the role and importance of people of color and women of color in American democracy (Aimee Allison), confidence and presenting your authentic self (Joanna Bloor), and sexual assault/sexual assault prosecution through the Brock Turner case and more (Alaleh Kianerci). The conference is from 9:30 PM – 2:00 PM. Bagels and fruit from Noah’s Bagels and a mediterranean lunch from Village Hummus are included.
